CMC is a combined data centre & computing facility with twin office towers and supporting amenities. The design intent reflects on key principles of mathematics - digital symmetry and platonic geometry, to generate its iconic design - described as the obscure expression of silent efficiency.
These principles are integrated and are evident throughout the architecture, through the landscape and in to the interior design, to create a distinct and memorable user experience.
The data centre itself serves as the epicentre of the project, acting as the central processing unit, with its obscurity playing in contrast to the highly reflective curtain wall of the twin office towers, allows for its core constituents at each juncture to provide aesthetically pleasing visuals when observed in unison.
Passive design strategies implemented in to the architectural expression allows the opportunity to naturally ventilate the basement level, which sits below the central landscaping. This is achieved by drawing down fresh air through the cross breeze created by the strategically orientated superstructure and offsetting the ground slab openings to produce a floating effect with a footway over the drop-off area.
The CMC project addresses a key constituent of Vietnams economic growth, fast becoming a strategic geographic hub for well-established tech companies and start-ups, further validating Vietnams appeal for attracting investment opportunities from overseas.
